FAQ
What are we offering, in plain terms?
We make soft, screen-free toys and tools that let kids and adults chat with a bounded, safety-first AI—more like friendly little neighbors with cozy, distinct personalities than “the whole internet in your pocket.” No apps. No feeds. No open-web wandering.
Why not just use an iPad or phone?
Phones and tablets are built to tug on attention (notifications, feeds, endless content). This is built for intentional, finite sessions—no scrolling, no apps, no “one more minute” traps. More like a friendly pop-in… then back to real life.
Who is this for?
-
Families and caregivers who want a calm, guided, screen-free experience
-
Adults who want a simple, low-friction way to reset, reflect, or wind down
-
Anyone who wants bounded AI interaction without constant connectivity
Why does this exist now?
Because a lot of people want something that feels modern and helpful, without feeling like another attention-hungry screen. More “a little pocket of calm,” and less “endless internet.”
How does it protect privacy?
It’s built around data minimization: no sharing or storing personal data by default, bounded interactions, and privacy-first design choices.
Who chooses what it says?
The toy uses curated, safety-tuned models and filters designed to keep interactions friendly, age-appropriate (in kid settings), and within clear boundaries.
What about screen fatigue, eye strain, or posture issues?
Because it’s screen-free, it can support a break from long device use. It’s designed to fit into natural routines—snuggling, sitting, stretching, moving around—without locking you into one “tech posture.”
What kinds of things can it do?
Here’s just a few examples:
-
Jokes, cozy stories, and wind-down routines
-
Age-appropriate learning and curiosity prompts
-
Gentle grounding prompts (breathing, senses, body awareness)
-
Light, playful conversation with a positive, friendly tone
What can it NOT do?
It will not:
-
Give medical, psychological, or legal advice
-
Replace caregivers, teachers, or professionals
-
Act like an authority figure or push dependency
-
Provide instructions for harm or unsafe activities
-
Handle explicit, adult, or otherwise unsafe content
Why a plush instead of a device?
Because softness matters. A plush feels comforting for kids and soothing for adults, and it avoids the overstimulation that can come with screens, updates, and “always-on” gadgets.
Is AI safe for kids?
Caregivers should decide what’s age-appropriate. This product is designed with guardrails: kid-appropriate filters, no adult content, no persuasion, and no “I need you / don’t leave me” style framing. Adults can use it too—with settings that keep boundaries clear.
Is this replacing parenting, therapy, or human relationships?
Nope. It’s not a parent, therapist, authority figure, or decision maker. Think gentle prompts + playful conversation + calming routines—a helpful nudge, not a replacement for real people.
Is the user talking to “the internet”?
No. This is intentionally limited and curated. It doesn’t freely browse the web, doesn’t access social media, and avoids unsafe topics.
Does it record or store the user’s voice?
By default, no—it’s designed to work without storing personal voice recordings. If any limited diagnostics/performance data is used, it’s minimized and built around privacy.
Is this just tech disguised as a toy?
It’s both: a toy and a smart tool. The goal is calm, guided interaction—not constant engagement, and not replacing real-world connection.
Will the user become attached to it?
Getting attached to objects can be totally normal. This is designed for short sessions, encourages real-world relationships, and avoids language or behaviors that try to create emotional dependence.
Is this always listening?
No. It only listens when intentionally activated. It is not passive, ambient, or always-on.
How often should it be used?
Short, intentional sessions are best—especially as part of routines (wind-down, transitions, calm breaks). The goal is balanced use, not long, continuous engagement.
